I am a South African who relocated to the Netherlands. I currently live in Leiden Merenwijk with my husband and three cats. 

What to expect from me: I visit your pet/s as agreed upon once or twice daily, 30min-1hour at a time - speak to me about what you need as it's all negotiable. After my visit you can expect an update and some pics. I am familiar with all tasks regarding cats (such as feeding, showing affection, playing, grooming/brushing, cleaning litter boxes) and dogs (walking, reinforcing behaviour with and without treats, playing fetch or tug-of-war, cleaning/drying off after walks, etc). I also have a doggy trailer for my bicycle to take your pet to dog parks. Plus I am comfortable to administer medicine if needed.  

I am very happy to take my cues from your pet, regarding if they want to be petted, play, eat, etc. I understand certain pets are slower to warm up and others are comfortable from the get go. Furthermore, I'll gladly listen to your requests and suggestions regarding your pet's needs and take it from there. 

About me: Growing up, we always had many dogs. My father mainly trained dogs for the police, but also took in all kinds of neglected animals: from bunnies, to peacocks to monkeys. We also had a huge, free-spirited ginger cat, and as an adult I adopted Gypsy a little calico the moment I had a pet-friendly place. Benji our bengal joined the family when I got married. Similarly, in the Netherlands we have adopted our cats who have been such a pleasure to get to know. I worked as a therapist for more than a decade and am a natural caregiver.
