Hello there! My name is Jenna- a South African living in Amsterdam. Currently, I am a Junior lecturer of biomedical sciences at the VU and a avid hiker, dancer and poet. I have grown up with dogs my whole life (Dachshund, Rhodesian ridgeback, Staffordshire terrier, Jack Russell, and Belgian Malinois) and just love to be around them. I also miss being around them and interacting with them as unfortunately my current living situation (in an apartment without a garden) makes it difficult to have one of my own. I have experience with dogs that have had troubled pasts and behavioural issues from my work at the DOA dog shelter in Amsterdam- here I learnt some dog handling and walked and sat with many dogs from all over the Netherlands. About my home; it is quite small (44 square meters) and I have some roommates, but I have enough space (my roommate has a Labrador that comes over some times) but we are on the third floor with steep stairs! I live close to Vondelpark so we can go for walks there. I would also be happy to stay in your home as well or just go dog Walking.
