I've been an animal lover my whole life. I grew up with dogs and haven't been without a dog or cat since finishing university (Saffron, my little Abysinian, turns 18 this year!). Though I’ve never registered as a professional pet sitter, I’ve taken care of many cats and dogs of all different ages, sizes and temperaments during my years in Washington DC, Vancouver, Lyon, Toronto, and now Haarlem. I can’t count how many friends’ and neighbors’ cats and dogs I’ve sat for and walked over the years, but can confidently say that I’ve never heard a single complaint from any of these pets (😉).

But seriously, I’ve been the go-to caretaker for many pets while their owners were away. From 12-week old kittens, to French bulldogs with intervertebral disc disease, to overly-energetic St. Bernards, I have never met a pet whose owners weren't pleased with my caretaking ability. Becoming a registered pet sitter with Pawshake provides the perfect opportunity to indulge my love of animals while also accommodating our somewhat nomadic-lifestyle. I can cover a variety of pet sitting needs:

• Dog walking
• Home visits (feeding, playing, cleaning, changing litter boxes, administering medication)
• Other small home-related tasks (watering plants, sorting mail, etc.)

Unfortunately I cannot host animals in my home at this time, as my aby has become quite territorial and a tad cranky in her old age.

My work from home policy with my job is fairly flexible, so I can walk, play with, and take care of your pets to suit your schedule.
