Hi! My name is Sam, I’m 26 years old, and I’m originally from North Carolina in the United States. I moved to Amsterdam four years ago to study for my Master’s degree at the University of Amsterdam, and I’ve loved living here ever since. English is my native language, but I’m currently learning Dutch!

Back home, I have two dogs, Ollie and Bo, and three cats, Charlie, Mickey, and Tito. I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and have years of personal experience caring for pets. Over the years, I’ve also volunteered with local animal rescues and fostered both young and senior animals. My dog Ollie is actually my biggest “foster fail” — I adopted him just one day after fostering him!

I offer the following pet care services, and I’m always happy to discuss other requests if needed:

Dogs

Dog walking (usually around 30 minutes, longer walks available upon request). Home visits for feeding, playtime, companionship, and check-ins during the day. If more than two home visits per day are needed, an overnight booking is required

Cats

Home visits for feeding, litter box cleaning, and quality time. I understand every cat is different (some love attention, while others prefer space) so I’m happy to adjust care to your cat’s personality and needs. If more than two home visits per day are needed, an overnight booking is required

I also have experience caring for hamsters and rabbits, and I’m open to looking after other animals as well. While I do have some experience, I may ask for detailed written instructions so I can make sure your pet gets the best possible care.
