Hello,

My name is Livia and I am a 26-year-old French-American freelancer. I speak both French and English fluently and I am currently learning Dutch. I was born and grew up in France but I moved to the States at the age of 12 and lived there for 7 years and spent an additional year in Canada as well.

I am a huge animal lover and always have been. I grew up with both cats and dogs and have been working with animals since I was 14. I started off working at a doggy daycare as a small dog supervisor, where I would watch up to 50 small dogs at a time.

I also volunteered at local animal shelters for over 5 years. While I was there, I would help with cleaning and customer service tasks at the front desk, but I would also socialize cats and walk and work with the dogs. Some dogs would spend more time at the shelter and were sometimes less adoptable, I would make sure to work with those dogs to make them more appealing to potential adopters. For example, there was a German Shepherd that was mouthy and would jump on you when she got excited so I did extensive work with her to discourage that practice. In addition, I have worked full-time at another doggy daycare for over a year where I was an acting shift supervisor when needed and would watch and control large groups of dogs and would also work individually with special needs dogs.

In the past, I have had my own pet-sitting and dog walking business and I would love to start that up again in the Netherlands. I offer dog walking services and based on an hourly pay rate I can walk your dog for as long as you'd like. In addition, I offer pet-sitting services where I can either pop in for an hour to an hour and a half multiple times a day. Alternatively, if your pooch needs a bit more love and care, I can also spend the night. I am comfortable administering medicine and can also help train your dog should you be interested. I would focus mainly on basic obedience but I can help with minor issues your dog may have. I am also available to cat-sit as I love cats and will also administer any medicine and socialize them as needed.
