Experienced & Loving Pet Sitter – Available for Cats, Bunnies, and More!

Hi! My name is Lauren. I am an American student currently studying for my master's degree in Rotterdam and living in Kralingen. I have started a local pet care business to continue doing what I love (providing excellent care to adorable pets) alongside my studies. I have over 5 years of experience working as a pet sitter with cats and occasionally bunnies. I love each animal I care for as my own, so any animal entrusted in my care will be treated with lots of love and plenty of playtime. I tailor my care to the individual animal, so while I list what I typically offer below, I know some animals benefit from more time and play, others benefit from more quiet time with a person present (in those cases sometimes I will bring some work over to keep them company for longer while also giving them space), and some would rather a quick visit with just the basics. I always say I work for both you and your pets, so if there's anything at all that would make them happier, I do my best to make it happen. 🐾

Please note: I currently only offer pet sitting for cats, bunnies, and other small animals. I am not able to accept bookings for dogs at this time.

About me: 

• Specialized Care for Special Needs Pets: I have 5 years of hands-on experience at a local animal shelter, specializing in working with pets with medical or behavioral needs. I’ve been specifically trained in working with pets with fear and anxiety, as well as oral medications, inhalers, eye ointments, and eye drops. I provide dedicated individualized care to each pet I work with. If your pet has a different need, I am happy to work with you to quickly learn exactly what they need so you can feel confident leaving your pet in my safe care. 
• Passionate About Animals: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life (cats, dogs, hamsters, fish, and bunnies) and have always had a passion for caring for animals. I miss having pets of my own due to student apartment restrictions, so I’d love to shower your pets with lots of love and attention!
• Lots of experience: Over the past few years, I’ve independently raised 43 foster kittens (with a variety of medical and behavioral needs) and successfully found them their forever homes. I have experience caring for cats of all ages, from 2 weeks to 16+ years, and I’m comfortable administering medications. I was often assigned the toughest of foster kitten cases and provided them with lots of love and care, helping them find a perfect home. 

Services I offer:

Home Visits (30 minutes per visit)

• Photo and written updates each visit to keep you updated on how your pet is doing!
• Lots of playtime, cuddles, and attention to ensure your pet isn’t lonely
• Feeding, replacing water, litter box cleaning, and general pet care
• Small household tasks like watering plants, checking mail, or taking out trash
• Always available for any questions or concerns while I'm visiting your little ones!
• The length of my visit can be extended up to a whole day as a type of daycare (for additional fees), depending on your pet's individual needs

House Sitting (Overnight pet care)

• For house sitting stays, I will be available to your pets all night and the majority of the day, ensuring they get constant love, care, and affection. I will maintain your pets' routines to make sure they feel as comfortable as they can while you are away. Keeping up a routine can make a big difference in ensuring your pet stays stress-free while you are gone
• I will also help maintain your home by ensuring everything is tidy and running smoothly while you're away, so you can come back to a cozy home, just the way you left it or even cleaner!
• I provide everything included above under Home Visits, but for a much longer time to make sure your pet always has someone around to attend to whatever they need. I know how hard it is for some pets to be away from family, so I try to keep costs for house sitting low to make sure cats who benefit from overnight care can have it 🐾

I know some pets need a little more hands-on attention while you are away, and some prefer a little distance! That's why I make sure to really get to know each pet before I start, so I can ensure they get exactly what they need during my stay/visits. I offer a free meet and greet to every client to make sure both you and your pet are totally comfortable with me and to learn your pet's routine before I start working with them.
