I'm Samy, originally from Greece and live in Amsterdam with my partner and two cats. Animals have been part of my life ever since I can remember. I grew up with multiple dogs and cats, and so their sounds, belly rubs, throw-catch games, and purr-purr-purrs became like a second language. Besides being a parent of two cats at the moment, I hope to have more pets some day again. Till then, my trade-off is to share my extra love with yours :)

Being around animals brings me lots of joy, and I really love interacting and caring for them. I entertain my own cats with clicker training every day ;) During my travels in countries with stray animals, I frequently carry a bag of food to provide to cats and dogs on the street, and have made many furry friends this way. 

Besides that, I have always been curious about animal behavior, so I am quite observant to their body language and ways of communication. I am sensitive to different animal personalities, and I approach them in a gentle way. I generally do my best to have an animal feel comfortable and safe in my presence, and if that's not the case I respect their space and boundaries. I aim to help cats and dogs feel as little stress as possible when their pet-parents are away, with all their needs covered.

For the past 10 years, whenever my schedule was allowing I would care for cats of friends and neighbors. I find myself with more free time at the moment, so I'd love to share it with animals.

As your cat sitter:

• I will feed your cat(s) and provide fresh water
• I will play and cuddle with them (if they allow me to)
• I will clean the food/water bowls and scoop their litter every day
• I will send you updates and photos
• I remain respectful of your space, and follow your specific wishes and instructions in regard to your space.

Visits last 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your cats’ needs.

I can currently visit in areas close to my home location in Amsterdam Oostenburg, including Oostelijke Eilanden and Kadijken, Het Funnen, Eastern Docklands, Kadijken, Plantage, Dapperbuurt and Zeeburg.
