Going away for a business trip, and your buddy was not allowed to follow? Running late for a meeting or to feed your dearest companion? Cannot take care of your furry friend due to some mishaps? Don't worry, I've got you! Your dog will have a great time with (my four-legged buddy(Lyney, M, 11months, ) and) me (Felix, M, 25Y)!

To start with, I was surrounded by dogs, cats, and other pets when I was brought up, as a result of which, I always have this inherent fondness for pets. I truly believe that they can feel our love and reciprocate it in their own special paw way. Additionally, my dog would appreciate some doggy gossip and playtime with the new friend. With this mindset, I provide dog (or cat, if they are good with dogs) sitting(games, cuddles, etc.), walking(30-60min, sometimes more), and feeding, either at your place or mine. All it takes is only a message to discuss and arrange.

Being born in a dog-owning family in China, I've always dreamed of having my own four-legged friend and being responsible for him, training him in different tricks with my patience. And almost a year ago, after my settlement in Leiden, my dream finally came true. I finally made up my mind to have my own four-legged buddy(Lyney) as my companion and to grow together with him. We(my partner and I) adopted him from a breeder in China and brought him over to his new home in Leiden. After tons of hours of scrolling on theoretical YouTube videos about puppy training and dog-related content, I finally got to get my feet wet and build a special bond with my adorable buddy. 

However, I slowly realized all those theoretical videos might not be enough for this energetic and cheeky little buddy. Therefore, I took him for a better education to help him assimilate into the 'culture & society' 😆 Together, we nailed an 8-session 'basiscursus' at an excellent dog school in Katwijk and earned our 'diploma'. To my surprise, he loved it, especially the socialization with other puppies, although I have to admit that some of his characteristics are still written in his genes, just like his ancestors. This whole journey makes me realize Lyney needs more doggy friends beyond just us, the owners, which would make him happier, more confident, and, more importantly, himself. And this is what motivates me to be a pet sitter: to expose him to other four-legged friends and support his socialization. I truly believe that dogs can learn from each other this way! A well-behaved paradigm is 200% welcome here in our household(I would even send Lyney to you for modeling 🤣), though other buddies are 150% welcome, sorry, a bit less 😁 

Beyond that, I am also a social person myself. Pet sitting can also significantly boost my networking. I do want to stay active in this four-legged community, gaining more expertise and knowledge for Lyney and myself. This will be a fantastic way for me to learn more about the culture and the language, which are something I am already doing beyond taking care of Lyney. 

Now, with a set routine, he goes for walkies three times a day, morning(around 8:30), afternoon(around 16:30), and evening(around 22:30). While walking, he gets some training to help build up his good behavior. Apart from that, he loves 'sightseeing' on the plank when he has nothing to do, daydreaming about how to hunt down those seagulls. Some naps and tug-of-war are also involved during his days.
