My name is Sofia Beckdorf, and I’m a 28-year-old animal lover, happily married to José. Dogs are my favorite animals, and I cherish every moment spent with them. I recently moved to the Netherlands to begin an LLM program at Leiden University this September. I’m excited to become a pet sitter because spending time with animals brings me immense joy. This role is perfect for me due to its flexibility and the opportunity it provides to help others.

I was fortunate to grow up in a family where animals were cherished members. Throughout my life, I’ve always had a beloved pet by my side, whether it was my rabbit, Sharon, my parrot, Álvaro, or one of our dogs. Earlier this year, my loyal companion Byron passed away at the age of 15. His loss deeply affected me and reinforced how important animals are in my life and the happiness they bring.

Becoming a pet sitter offers me a wonderful chance to reconnect with the companionship of animals, which I’ve missed greatly. I’m eager to assist other pet owners by providing reliable, loving care for their pets, ensuring they can trust someone to look after their furry friends when they’re unable to. I have experience working with a variety of pets, especially dogs, and even some farm animals. I’m committed to offering the best care possible, drawing from my deep affection and understanding of animals.
