Hi there! My name is Aimée, I'm 29 years old and work in healthcare. I'm currently on a break from my career, which means I have plenty of time and I'm looking for ways to stay active and connected. Knowing how much joy a dog can bring into your life, pet sitting feels like the most natural answer.

Growing up in the Caribbean, I was always surrounded by dogs — generally four or five at a time. Until some years ago, I also had my own little fur baby called Ozzie here in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, combining a demanding job with being her sole caretaker from a certain point on became nearly impossible, so I made the decision that was best for her. She's now living her best life with my parents across the ocean. While I miss her every day, knowing she's happy brings me peace.

So, I'm not here to make a quick buck, but because spending time with your dog will bring me just as much joy as it brings them. Think of me as that caring, attentive friend you can trust to look after your pride and joy while you're at work or away.

When it comes to the actual care, here's what you can expect: I work around your dog's existing routine as much as possible, because familiarity is comfort. I can take dogs out for walks at least two to three times a day, typically in the morning, afternoon, and evening, with each walk lasting from 20 to 30 minutes to the occasional 45 to 60 minutes. I live in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of green space and water nearby, so there's no shortage of pleasant routes. I also have a balcony, which comes in handy for some fresh air between walks.

I'm generally home most of the day, so your dog won't be left alone for long stretches. On the rare occasion I do need to step out briefly, I make sure they're comfortable and settled beforehand. I follow whatever feeding schedule you provide and I'm happy to administer medication if needed. Every dog has its own personality — some need more reassurance, others more stimulation — and I adapt naturally to what they need. In the event of a medical emergency, I would contact you immediately and, if necessary, seek veterinary care without hesitation. A vet is situated right around the corner!
