Hi, my name is Amalia. I am 27 years old, originally from Belgium, grew up in France, and now live in Amsterdam. I work in finance at a large Dutch bank and regularly work from home.

Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with dogs, helped raise 12 puppies when my childhood dog had a litter, rode horses for many years, and volunteered with shelter dogs during my travels in Latin America. Over the years, I have learned to understand dogs’ body language and adapt to their individual personalities.

People describe me as patient, reliable and attentive. I enjoy following routines that dogs already know because consistency helps them feel safe. Whether a dog is energetic, playful, older or a little shy, I enjoy taking the time to build trust and create a positive experience.

I recently welcomed a young miniature dachshund into my home, so I am especially interested in connecting with local dog owners. I work from home most days but am usually in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On those days I sometimes look for someone to help with a midday walk or potty break for my puppy.

At the same time, I would be happy to help other dog owners. I am available for walks, drop-in visits and companionship, with flexible arrangements depending on your needs. If suitable, my puppy can join walks or visits for socialisation, but I am equally happy to keep dogs separate.
