I live in Utrecht centre and really want to get my own dog so hoping this gets me prepared!
I grew on a farm and had dogs at home and sometimes dog sit for my friends when they are away. So I am quite familiar with animals, especially dogs  
I am totally OK with most types of dogs, and happy to drive a little to them of needed. I am pretty strong, but would like to do mini check first if they are particularly strong 
I work full time as a project manager and work from home some days (usually Wednesday and Friday) and free in the evenings and on weekends too
Any dog I take care of would need to be vaccinated etc.
I hope you pick me to mind your dog and if you have more questions let me know!My home is a small 2 floored house in utrecht centre on a quite street. There is a small square patch outside in the back which is surrounded by other houses so very secure


Hi, ik ben Janneke Grolleman (27 jaar), ook wel het kattenvrouwtje genoemd en dat zelfs zonder het hebben van een kat. Die naam, die komt natuurlijk ergens vandaan. Want jawel, ik heb een hele tijd samengewoond met mijn beste vriendin die katten had. Tot januari was ik dan ook een heel trots kattenvrouwtje, of beter gezegd kattenmama, van Tobi en Bobby. Tobi heb ik zelfs opgevoed vanaf kitten af aan. Begin dit jaar ben ik naar Utrecht verhuisd en tot op de dag van vandaag mis ik die twee heerlijke pluizenbollen om me heen. Samen ‘smoezen’ op de bank, spelen met hun lievelingsspeeltje en zelfs een doos ombouwen tot kattenhuis; ik deed niets liever. Het is dan ook niet zo gek dat ik ze om me heen mis. Maar omdat ik woon in een appartement van 70m2 op de 7e verdieping en katten graag de ruimte geef, heb ik besloten voorlopig geen nieuwe kat aan te schaffen. Maar dat betekent wel dat ik mooi op die van jou kan oppassen. Sterker nog, heel graag zelfs. Ik ben dol op katten. Een wandeling door de buurt duurt standaard 10 minuten langer, omdat ik regelmatig een leuke buurtkat tegen het lijf loop. En zodra ik in de stad ben, weet ik precies in welke straat ik moet zijn om een kat tegen te komen. Iets met ‘a cat a day maakt je dag een heel stuk mooier ;-). 
Regelmatig krijg ik dan ook een appje van familie en vrienden of ik op hun viervoeters kan passen. Want ze weten dat ze bij mij in goede handen zijn (en dus vandaar ook dat je mij hier tegenkomt). Zo kunnen zij zorgeloos op vakantie of een weekendje weg en ondertussen vermaken de huisdieren (en ikzelf) zich optimaal. Win-win. Mijn appartement heeft enorme ramen en dat valt goed in de smaak bij ze. De beestjes kunnen heerlijk naar buiten kijken en daarnaast mogen ze in iedere ruimte, waardoor ze lekker de plek hebben en op avontuur kunnen. 
Goed dat dus. Een kattenvrouwtje, maar er is meer. Want je wil natuurlijk wel weten wie ik ben en wat ik doe. Ik ben creative copywriter, heb een eigen foodblog en werk ook nog af en toe als freelancer copywriter. Met een pen (lees: toetsenbord) in mijn hand ben ik op m’n best zoals je kan lezen. En het mooie is, dat ik maar drie dagen buiten huis werk en de rest thuis aan werk ben. Dat betekent dat ik veel tijd heb voor jouw huisdier en enorm flexibel ben. In mijn vrije tijd vind ik het heerlijk om lekker te borrelen, te dansen met vrienden en breng ik het liefst heel wat uren door in de keuken. Voor het maken van een nieuw recept, om mijn pot met zelfgemaakte granola weer aan te vullen of het maken van tapas. Dat is wie ik ben in a nutshell.
Misschien nog wel leuk om te weten, ik woon samen met mijn Spaanse vriend Diego (30 jaar). Hij werkt als gymleraar op een internationale school in Amsterdam en jawel, is ook dol op dieren. Hijzelf had het liefst al 2 katten en een hond aangeschaft. Want hij is misschien nog wel een grotere dierenliefhebber dan ik. Alle dieren vindt hij fantastisch en vindt het heerlijk om met ze te spelen. We vinden het dan ook zeker leuk om af en toe een gezellige hond te ontvangen.

I grew up with dogs around me, and for the majority of my life had a dog of my own (a Golden Retriever called Lena). Originally from Switzerland, I moved to the Netherlands four years ago to study at University. Although I would love to have a dog of my own again, I don't have enough financial stability for that just yet - thus dog sitting is a great solution for me!  I feel super comfortable around all dogs, big or small, male or female. I am also okay with giving medicine if needed, and would love to try and teach some tricks if you want!  I offer dog walking, home visits, house sitting, doggy daycare, and home dog boarding... I am generally just happy to be around those four-legged energy bundles. Next to that, it's a great way to stay active :-) Below some more information on each service:  Dog walking: I live only a street away from the Catharijnesingel, where it is great to go on walks with dogs! Walking times would range from 30 min to 2 hours, depending on the needs of your dog. Depending on where you live, I am happy to take your dog on walks in their known environment, or explore new areas with them. What is important to me is to align well with you and your dogs needs, and adjust accordingly. I offer one long walk or one to two short walks per day.Home visits: From the centre of Utrecht I can reach most neighbourhoods with a breezy 10 min cycle. On a typical home visit, I would stay between 30 min to 1 hour, where I make sure your pet is in a clean environment, has enough to drink, give food if required, and take your dog(s) outisde to the toilet. Next to that I am happy to spend time playing with your pet, and check that the house is alright (mail, garbage, windows closed, etc.).House sitting: During a house sit I stay at your house while you are gone and make sure your house and your pet(s) are well taken care of. Next to the services of house visits, I would also take your dog(s) on a long walk or two shorter ones (depending on what we agree on). I will make sure your house is clean and not leave the pets alone for more than 3 hours - and of course send daily (photo) updates of your furry friend to you :-). Doggy daycare: I live in an apartment in the city centre where pets are more than welcome! Your dog will be free to move around in my flat, and I will make sure it is safe for them to do so (i.e. nothing to hurt them or that they could ingest). Next to feeding and playing with them, I will take your dog on walks as needed, either (multiple) shorter ones of 30 min or longer ones of 1-2 hours. I live with one roommate who is also happy to be around dogs, but their care will be fully in my hands. We have no pets of our own. Cats: Unfortunately I am slightly allergic to cats, which means that I can be around them for house visits and sitting, but cannot host them in my own apartment. Home dog boarding: Next to the services of doggy daycare, I will make sure your dog has a comfortable place to sleep where they feel safe. I will make sure that they are not left alone for more than 3 hours, and have enough to eat, drink, play - overall that they have a great time with me! I only board one dog or one "household" of 1-2 dogs at the same time, to make sure I have enough time and attention for them. Cats: Unfortunately I am slightly allergic to cats, which means that I can be around them for house visits and sitting, but cannot host them in my own apartment. Note on my own apartment: I live on the first floor, and the entry stairs are fairly steep - see the photo gallery. If your dog is small I am happy to carry them up and down, but if you have a larger dog they need to be able to walk up and down the stairs themselves.  I am currently doing a Master study in Sustainable Business & Innovation at the UU. Next to being passionate about dogs, I enjoy photography and filmmaking, drawing, sewing, and I am currently learning to rollerskate (it's a slow but steady progress). :-)  As a person, you will usually see me smiling from ear to ear.
