Hi, my name is Jenny! I moved to Haarlem from Ireland about 2 years ago to live with my partner and two small dogs, Daisy and Bear (Yorkie x Jack Russell) - you'll see them in my photos.
I have always been an animal lover and loved the idea of working with pets. I currently work in marketing but look forward to a career change, starting with Pawshake.
Experience with pets:
Growing up I always had pets - from hamsters, birds and rabbits to cats, dogs, horses, chickens and goats (yes, all pets!) I love them so much that I became vegetarian at the age of 7 or 8 (I still am) and studied Zoology at university, before moving into Marketing.&nbsp;Over the years, we have kept many different breeds of dogs - Labrador, Border Collie, Yorkshire Terrier, Chihuahua, Jack Russell, Rottweiler, Foxhound - and all our cats have been rescues. I am very comfortable with all animals, big or small, and have lots of experience looking after pets of friends and neighbours. &nbsp;
Availability:
I work from home Monday to Friday (9-17:30) so am available for walking or home visits in the early mornings and evenings, or any time on weekends. Possibly also at lunchtime during the week if you're living nearby! At the moment, I can't offer overnight stays at my place but am open to house sitting.
My offer:
Trusting someone else to look after your pet(s) can be nerve-wracking but I've had some great experiences with sitters on Pawshake. I know how great it is to receive photo and video updates so will make sure to do this for you - it's the best way to see if your pet is happy and having fun! Routine can be very important to pets so I'm more than happy to work with their needs. For home visits, I can water plants if needed - I love gardening and have lots of experience with both indoor and outdoor plants.

Hoi hoi! Ik ben Hester, 18 jaar en natuurlijk met een echt hart voor dieren. Ik woon nog thuis bij mijn ouders, waar wij 1 kat hebben. Wij hebben nooit een hond als huisdier gehad, waardoor ik mijn ervaring met honden dus ook ergens anders heb opgedaan! Na een jaar in spanje te hebben gewoond, en heel wat rescue honden voorbij heb zien komen, ben ik veel te weten gekomen over het gedrag, de verzorging en natuurlijk de omgang met deze lieve dieren. Ik heb op een stichting gewerkt waar wij vooral verwaarloosde en mishandelde paarden opvangen, maar in een gebied waar helaas honden ook nog een groot "probleem" blijken te zijn onder de bevolking. En honden niet als levende wezens worden gezien, maar als een last. Natuurlijk vingen wij deze ook op en zorge wij er voor dat ze een mooi huisje in Nederland of België zouden krijgen!Wat ik aanbied kwa diensten zijn het uitlaten van uw huisdier of het bij u thuis oppassen en verzorgen. Wel vind ik het van belang dat er een klik en vertrouwen is bij zowel het baasje als het huisdier waar ik op zal gaan passen. Ik ben zeker berijd om door weer en wind te komen, en een flinke wandeling hou ik wel van! Mijn ervaring rijkt van hele jonge pups tot oudere dieren, ook maakt groot/klein, reu of teefje helemaal niks uit! Ik woon zelf in Velserbroek maar ben zeker berijd om een stuk te reizen!Mocht u enthousiast zijn geworden van mijn verhaal, en ben ik volgens u iemand die wel op u hond/ honden zou mogen passen? dan hoor ik het graag en wie weet tot snel!
