About Manon
Hello :)
My name is Manon. I'm French and have 3 dogs. We live in Almere Haven in a quiet and green area.
I do not have kids and my dogs are allowed everywhere in the house. There is a lot of dog beds, toys and treats available.
The dogs get 3 short walks and 1 long walk everyday, and one of those is either off leash in a dog park or at the woods or the beach.
SERVICES:
Overnight stay:
Please bring his bed so he is comfortable (they usually don’t use it but it’s always good) and let us know its schedule/habits so we can make him feel like home! I have an extra bed and a crate that can be used if needed. I have plenty of toys available that can be used by your dog if he wishes to. Treats are provided at no extra charge (let me know for potential allergies). Cuddles available! The bed will be placed in the living room.
We have dogs that love other dogs, they are always up for meeting new friends and share their daily walks!
Home visits - 30 minutes per visit :
I only do visits in Haven
I do not carry home visits for dogs if you are away for more than 1 day.
I come to your place, feed your animal(s), empty the trash/ litter, cuddle, play with them.
I will provide your pet with fresh water and food as well as some social time with us. I will clean any mess and empty the litter box.
Visits time will be discussed with you but preferably afternoon if I have to work.
You will get daily updates of your pet(s) through videos and/or pictures. It’s important for me that the owner is aware of what’s happening. If you want someone to be as smug as you over your pet, you are at the right place!
I will not do home visits for a dog over multiple days, dogs shouldn't stay alone that long.
House rules:
I have experience with old dogs, blind dogs, deaf dogs, scared dogs, sick dogs and rescue dogs. I can also handle food ressource guarding and reactive dogs.
It's important that the dog is able to poop/ pee on the leash for morning walks as well as able to walk properly on the leash.
I do not free-feed, the dogs are fed individually their food, and the leftover is taken away (if there is) and added to the evening meal (if required), if your dog do not have a sensitive stomach I will try to add some yummy food to make them eat if necessary.
I provide a bigger treat in the evening to my dogs and yours unless your dog has some allergies, please let me know and I will ask for treats if I cannot accomodate (I usually feed dried treats so I can probably accomodate)
Big walks are most of the time off-leash, any new guest will have a long lead attached to them until I have build a trust. Or on a short lead if that's not good for them.
Dogs won't stay alone more than 4h, I have a camera to check on them. 95% of the time they are with someone home.
Who are the dogs ?
I fell into the rescue world and adopted 3 sweet souls. I have also fostered many dogs and seeing them overcome their fear or discovering the good dog life was a privilege. I have learn a lot about rescues and some behaviors they can have. No dog is perfect but we can help them become their better self.
Bucky is a 13y old rescue from the Amsterdam shelter, he is a terrier mix with allergies, arthritis and some anxiety. He is super sweet to humans and a big cuddler. He will also do anything for treats or to try to hunt the cats.
Luna is a 5y old rescue from Greece, she is slowly turning blind so can be a bit reactive to new people and dogs but warms up fast. She is a happy bundle and the most loyal dog I know.
Lili is a 4y old rescue from Greece, she is a bit insecure but the biggest attention seeker, treat lover singer.
The pack has different personnalities but they love each other and work very well together, they have welcomed countless of dogs over the years and helped many as well.
Our house:
We have a house perfect for dogs, plenty of extra beds, more toys that they can use, a couch that they have access to. A fenced in garden to lay down and sunbath in. With plants to sniff and places to make holes.
I have stairs and usually the guest dog stays downstairs in the living room.
I would describe me as a soft owner, they are like my children and have full access to the house. The couch is dog proof.
Due to my dogs getting older and having some medical conditions I only take dogs up to 20 kilos that can walk on the leash and are calm inside the home. I do not take puppies as well.
I also only take 1 client at a time. So if you have 2 dogs that's ok but I will never have 2 guest dogs from different owners at the same time.
Please message me and I will answer your questions.
I feed our dogs a variety of food (cooked, raw, wet and dry) so any type it will not be a problem at all. Your dog will enjoy his holidays!
