We, Taylor (American) and Carlos (Portuguese) are crazy about animals! Last winter, we had to say goodbye to our 16 year old Labrador, who was like our son. We shared so many special memories and fun moments with him and due to current work and travel concerns, we're not yet ready to welcome a new furry family member. But we would love to spend time with your four-legged children whilst you are on holiday, or even during the day as we work several days per week from home and live in a perfect area for walks. 

We are available for both dog and cat sitting and have lots of experience sitting for friends and neighbors for years. We're happy to provide you with tons of photos and updates while you're away. We know what's important to pet parents when leaving their pet with a sitter. Your cat or dog will be welcomed and made to feel at home at our home. 

If your dog likes to walk, our home in Zaandam is the perfect launch point for strolls in one of the many nearby parks. We have a small fenced garden for extra outdoors time and if your pup is okay in the car, we can bring them along on our weekend walks. We're also very flexible so last minute bookings are welcome. Details re: dog boarding: 

- your dog will have a comfy area, we have dog beds, toys, food/water bowls and treats of course. And you can bring anything you'd like to make sure they feel at home! 

- we're not professional dog trainers or groomers. We can practice some tricks for treats and we can brush hair/teeth.

- we will only have 1 dog or cat (or family of dogs/cats) staying with us at a time. There will not be other pets around while your pet(s) is with us.

- when the weather is nice, we often have the door to our small garden open so your dog can go in/out as they please. 

Please note:

- your pet must be ok with being left alone for several hours, as it's sometimes the case we both need to be out of the house for work. If this happens, we try to leave your pet alone for the least amount of time possible by staggering our departure/arrival time at home; nonetheless, important that your doggy does not suffer from separation anxiety. 

- for inquiries of longer than 3 nights, we request to arrange an overnight "meet and greet", so that we can check your pet is comfortable with us/ our space. 

We're not pet setting as a "job" but rather because we just want to spend some time with animals now that there's a huge gap in our lives. We will treat your dog or cat as our own. Questions? Please ask!
