Your pet’s safety and welfare is a big priority for us, which is why all of our Pawshake pet sitters undergo a strict vetting process by our trust and safety team. I'm a second year Marine sciences bachelor student at Wageningen University and Research. I am 20 years old and am originally from Slovenia. I have a dog back home with whom I trained obedience and rescue services exstensively, more specifically mantrailing which is one form of a search dog that tracks people that are lost. I also know some mental stimulation activities for dogs. I can take care of dogs, cats and other furry pets. Per pet I will make sure they get enough exercise, have food and fresh water and whatever else is needed depending on the animal. For boarding I will only take dogs. I live in a clean student house with 9 other roomates who all love animals, so your pet will get lots and lots of love. I am willing to travel for pet and house sitting even for the weekend if needed. For walks I am available every day and for dog boarding i am available 2-3 days during the week and during the weekend. My walk duration very much depends on the dogs energy levels, meaning it can be anywhere between 10 minutes to 2 hours :) Your pet can either sleep with me on my bed or on their own bed or in their crate, however both the bed or crate need to be provided as i don't have one in my room. In my room there is little access to cables that the pet could get a hold of and in the case of an emergency i have access to a car so i can take your pet straight to a vet. During a home visit i will make sure to give the pet enough exercise, spend some time with them and ensure they have fresh water and food. During a dog board the dog would spend at most 2-3 hours alone and there is a high possibility that one of my roomates or friends would want to spend time with them so they would not acctually need to be alone. I usually walk around Wageningen, both in the more populated "city" part as well as around in a more nature forward setting. I know good walking routes that can be modified into shorter or longer walks if necessary. During a home sitting i will keep the doors locked and i will be present the whole stay except if i absolutely need to get something to ensure the safety of the home.

Hi!

Hi! I’d love the opportunity to be your pet sitter. I’ve always had cats growing up and currently have one of my own (Billie), so I know how important it is to give pets love, attention, and care. Animals have always been such a big part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and making sure they feel happy, safe, and comfortable.
I understand that leaving your pets in someone else’s care can be stressful, which is why I always make it a priority to provide lots of love, attention, and reassurance. Whether it’s feeding, cuddling, playing, or just keeping them company, I want to make sure your furry friends feel happy and cared for while you’re away.
I am comfortable with dogs and cats, but have most experience with cats. I have walked dogs before, but would rather not walk very agressive or really big dogs, or would like some more explanation on how to go about this before I walk your dog, so that I can do it to the best of my abilities.
I can feed, entertain and cuddle the cats and dogs as well as give medication if necessairy and take care of their fur or anything else they need.

Hoi!

Hello! My name is Yike (Carla), a Chinese overseas student studying in Wageningen University, and I have been surrounded by dogs since I was a child. Growing up in a family that always had dogs, I developed a deep love️ and strong connection with them. Currently, I have four lovely little dogs at my home in China, and caring for them has given me many years of hands-on experience.
I truly enjoy the companionship of dogs—their presence always makes me feel happy and relaxed. I am very attentive to their needs and can quickly notice changes in their mood or health. I also love spending time outdoors with dogs, taking them for walks, and giving them the chance to enjoy fresh air and exercise.
My motivation to be a pet sitter is simple: I want to share my passion for dogs and provide them with the same love and care I give my own pets️. I accept only vaccinated pets into my home to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all.
If you are looking for a caring, responsible, and experienced dog sitter, I would be very happy to look after your beloved pet!

Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with German Shepherds and Labradors, and I’m now a proud owner of a lovely Miniature Poodle. This has given me plenty of experience understanding different dog personalities, energy levels, and needs.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having some company, I’m happy to adapt to their routine and personality.
I’m attentive to each dog’s individual needs and will always follow the instructions and routines you provide. During walks and visits, I focus on giving your dog plenty of attention while making sure they are comfortable and well looked after.
I know how important it is to trust someone with your beloved pet, so I want you to feel completely at ease while your dog is in my care. I’d love to meet your furry friend and give them the same care and attention I give my own dog!

Hello! My name is Taro, and I am currently doing a Master’s degree in Animal Sciences at Wageningen University and Research. My passion for animals inspired me to choose this field of study, and I have gained professional knowledge in pet nutrition, feed formulation, and animal behavior.
Although I do not keep a pet permanently, I have over one and a half year of experience in pet sitting here in the Netherlands, including cats and dogs. During this time, I have cared for different breeds including Golden Retrievers, Labradors, and especially a Shih Tzu named Cola, whom I looked after for around six months. Cola was full of energy (you cannot imagine how such a small dog can be so energetic!), so I walked him three times a day, went jogging together, and visited the dog park twice a week. Since he was not neutered, I was always very attentive to him and other dogs played with him.
I live in a comfortable studio in Wageningen, right next to a big forest and only 300 m away from a pet park. Pets in my care will have plenty of space and opportunities for outdoor activities. As I spend most of my time studying from home, I have lots of time to give dogs and cats the love, attention, and exercise they need.

Hello! A few years ago I moved abroad away from my cat and there's not a day that goes by where I don't crave the company of a furry, purring friend. I am truly a cat lover, from my own cat at home to the cats of the multiple neighbors I have had in Wageningen. They seem to come to me a lot, since I am always open to giving them love and care. In addition, I have experience with taking care of cats from being a cat mom myself, which means I am familiar with what they need to have a peaceful and comfortable life. Not only the bare necessities like feeding and cleaning their litterbox, but also being playful and kind with them.
Some things my services include:
- Exclusively a cat-sitter
- 1 to 2-times a day home visit to take care of the cat.
- Includes feeding, grooming, vacuuming and cleaning litterbox.

Hoi!

With real experience caring for cats and dogs, plus my own pets at home, I provide safe, attentive, and loving care — just like family. As a pet owner and someone who helps homeless animals, I bring patience, warmth, and genuine love to every pet I care for.
I have over 20 years of experience caring for cats and a strong background looking after dogs of different breeds and sizes. I currently have my own dog (up to 25 kg), so I understand daily routines, behavior, and the importance of consistent, loving care.
I am confident with basic medical needs, including giving injections and administering medication when required. I always pay close attention to each pet’s personality, ensuring they feel safe, calm, and comfortable in my care.
I have also volunteered helping homeless animals, working with different breeds and temperaments, which has made me patient, attentive, and adaptable.
You may also see my son in the photos — he grew up surrounded by animals and truly loves them. He sometimes helps me with pet sitting, always gently and responsibly.
Your pet will be treated with kindness, respect, and genuine love — just like part of our family

Hi! My name is Koosje and I'm a 21-year-old student who has grown up surrounded by animals my whole life. Pets have always been a huge part of my home, which means I know firsthand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your furry family member. Whether you're away for a day or a few nights, I'll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and at ease. On my pictures you can see my lovely dog Siep. He is 8 at the moment, and I have spent many lovely moments with him. He lives at my parents house, so I really miss him. Being in contact with other dogs and giving them the love they deserve feels amazing to me. What I offer: For house sitting, I'll stay overnight in your home so your pet never has to feel alone or out of their routine. I keep things calm and consistent, and I'm experienced in handling different personalities. From energetic dogs who need plenty of stimulation (like my own) to more anxious pets who just need a quiet, reassuring presence. For home visits (once or twice a day), I'll stop by to feed, play, and give your pet quality attention. I'm comfortable managing multiple pets and will always make sure everyone is safe and settled before I leave. For dog walking, I'll pick up your dog for a 30-minute walk. I stay attentive at all times, keep dogs on the lead in busy areas, and make sure every walk is safe and enjoyable. Throughout any booking, I'll keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know your pet is doing well. As a student I have flexible availability and can often accommodate shorter notice bookings. Your pet's happiness and wellbeing is always my priority. I'll treat them with the same care and love I give my own. Feel free to reach out with any questions before booking!
