My name is Manuela and I would love to take care of your furry family members! I grew up surrounded by animals—my family, back in Colombia, currently has three cats, and we’ve previously lived with up to five cats and a dog. Over the years, I’ve learned to truly understand animal behavior, recognizing their subtle signals when they need space, affection, or aren’t feeling well. I also regularly care for my relatives' dogs and cats, like my sister's cat whom I used to take care of when they had to travel. 

Being around pets completely recharges my energy. They offer unconditional love, and I strongly believe they deserve the absolute best care, affection, and respect.

Services I Offer:

• Dog Walking & House Visits: Perfect for giving your pets exercise, attention, and feeding while you're away. Dog walks can be up to 1 hour long, depending on your pet's needs, and house visits can be 2 to 3 per day. 
• House Sitting: Keeping your pets safe and comfortable in their own home environment. 
• Small Dog & Cat Boarding: I live in a student residence surrounded by beautiful parks and green areas for daily walks. Since I live in a student room, I welcome cats and small dogs for overnight stays. (Note: No other pets live in the corridor!)

What Makes Me a Great Sitter:

• My experience: I have lived with pets at home all my life, and at my grandparents farm they always had dogs, cats and at some point even bunnies. With time, I learned how to interact with them, how to take good care of them and understand their own way of communicating. However, I firmly believe that the best way of taking care of someone's pet is to listen to the owner and follow their instructions. 
• All Ages Welcome: I am great with senior pets and appreciate their calm nature, though I enjoy caring for pets of all ages!
• Special Care: I am comfortable administering oral medications and have experience working with shy or anxious dogs, taking the time needed to build their trust gently.
• Safety First: For larger dogs, I prefer caring for them one at a time to ensure 100% focused attention and safety.

My Daily Routine & Availability:

During the Summer: I am at home most of the time! My routine consists of short outings for groceries, the gym, or brief walks, meaning your pet will have constant companionship throughout the day.

During the Academic/Work Term: I am usually out for classes or work between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Outside of these hours, I spend my time at home providing all the care, walks, and affection your pet needs.

My Space (For Small Dog & Cat Boarding):

I live in a cozy student room in a residence with no other pets on the premises.

Safety: My window can be fitted with a protective safety net to prevent any accidental escapes, keeping cats or small dogs completely safe.

Sleeping Arrangements: Your pet is welcome to sleep on my bed with me, or I can comfortably set up their own pet bed right in my room.

Outdoors: There are plenty of beautiful green parks right nearby for daily walks and outdoor fun.

Special Care & Emergency Preparedness:

Safety & Emergencies: Your pet’s health and safety are my top priorities. In the event of a medical issue or emergency, I will immediately contact you (or your designated emergency contact) and take your pet to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic without delay.
