Hi! I'm Léa Roswell, I'm from Canada and I relocated to The Hague in 2024 for my studies in Human Rights Law at Leiden University. In Canada with my family, I always have lots of animals around me, especially large dogs, and now I miss the daily joys of having pets to help care for and play with!

With Pawshake, I get to help others care for their pets while also getting to enjoy the company of some furry friends ☺️

I am experienced with many different kinds of animals of all sizes and temperaments. I am very comfortable caring for small and very large dogs, and am experienced in handling dogs that have temperament challenges and special needs, including reactivity issues towards other dogs, and pets that require medication.

I have experience with long-term dog boarding (I live alone in a 2 bedroom apartment along a grassy canal and near much green space and a fenced dog park), (I had the french bulldog in my photos (with aggression towards other dogs) stay with me for 4 weeks and the husky stayed with me for 5 weeks), housesitting pets (I've housesit puppies, adult dogs, and cats for an accumulated total of 3.5 weeks), as well as daily home visits and routine walking in Voorburg, all while following all pet owner instructions and sending regular updates and pictures. Dogs staying with me will continue their regular daily routines, including instructed feeding times and their preferred walk routines, and I will be happy to give them lots of attention and playtime. ☺️ Happy to provide references!
