Nice to meet you! I am Margaux, a Franco-German student currently enrolled at the UCU next to the Wilhelminapark.
I've been raised with cats and dogs all my life. It started with my grandmother's two dogs, both terriers, and her cat, Pupuce. When my dad lived in the US, he found two stray dogs, a basset hound and a husky-labrador that are now our long-living family members. I also helped save another stray dog, a German shepher mix, in the park. He was scared of my father, but I could soothe him and put a leash on him (spoiler: my grandfather adopted him, since he didn't belong to anybody). I love spending time with dogs, walking them, training, playing and cuddling with them, but also know to keep my distance if they are shy or not as affectionate.
I offer dog walking, home boarding, and day care.
For dog walking, it could be early in the morning or late in the evening, or something in between.
I offer 1-3 walks per day, 30 - 60 minutes long, depending on the dog’s needs.
I live close to the Krommerijn Park and the park next to De Moestuin, so lots of greenery is provided. Since my father's two dogs were strays, they sometimes get a bit aggressive in the present of other dogs in the park, so I am familiar with nervous dogs and can handle them, however big they may be.
For home boarding, I would feed, walk, play with your dog, and anything else that your dog would need - medication (orally or by injection), brushing or else. If you wish, I will send you daily updates and photos of your dog.
Since I am a student I have a very flexible schedule and study most often in my room, so your dog would never be alone for longer than 1,5 hours. I live in a shared appartment with other students (but no pets), so your dog would sleep in my room. I live on the University College Utrecht campus, so there is vast greenery. Note however that it is not gated.
I want to make your dog feel safe and at home, and will do my best to ensure that.
Please feel free to ask me questions.
I hope to see you and your dog(s) soon!
Margaux is an excellent dog sitter. She deserves the full five star rating across the board. Margaux has our full trust. It is very clear that she is experienced in handling dogs. She looks after and watches our dog as if it would be her own. She is very committed and always honours appointments. Margaux truly cares and we can fully recommend her as a committed, empathic, and well experienced dog sitter.
Milka stayed with Margaux for two different weekends and both times went great. I would certainly recommend Margaux. She's very nice and very open to deal with the dog owner. We had to bring Milka very early in the morning because our trip and Margaux understood very well.
