My name is Sophie and I am recently graduated master's student residing in Utrecht. I have been taking care of my family friends' pets since I was 10. One of those family friends had a chicken, two cats, 1 dog, 2 bearded dragons, hamsters, fish, and a turtle (not to mention a garden to tend to!) all in one go, and I was the one that was called to take care of them all when the family was out of town. I've also cared for old dogs and cats as old as 18, making sure to administer their medication as needed and in a timely manner. I've helped friends and previous dogs' that I cared for in training their puppies as young as 10 weeks old, including socializing the puppy in a variety of situations. I've taken care of my friend's axolotl, which had its own specific needs. These experiences have definitely taught me the joys and responsibilities of caring for a pet.

I enjoy taking the dog I am caring for to the park to play with them if it's possible, and also just taking them on walks for as long as the dog's specific needs/owners' preferences--usually half an hour to an hour. I try to make sure to send pictures of pets when I go on walks or dogsit. If I'm staying at the owner's house, I will usually try and do a walk in the morning and in the evening (standard).

I am also very happy to care for cats. I work a lot from home so it's easy for me to stay in during the day.

Any pet care would can fit into my everyday schedule. I am very flexible with how I manage my own time every day of the week. I already go on walks, which could easily include a furry friend by my side!
