Hi! I’m Yana, a 21-year-old based in Den Haag who genuinely loves animals — not in a “they’re cute” way, but in a “I will absolutely cancel plans to hang out with your dog” kind of way.

As a remote worker, I’m home essentially all day, which means your pet gets constant company, proper walks, consistent feeding, and real attention rather than sitting alone waiting for someone to check in. Summer holidays are supposed to be relaxing — and I want that to actually be true for you.

I have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats of all personalities. One of my favourite experiences was helping a family care for four dogs at once — two of whom were rescues with specific emotional needs. That taught me a lot about reading animal behaviour, adjusting stimulation and activities to each dog’s mood and background, and staying calm when things get unpredictable. I approach walks the same way: I follow the dog’s lead, let them set the pace and duration, and treat it as their time, not a checkbox.

When it comes to emergencies, I stay calm and act fast — I also work as a babysitter, so handling unexpected situations responsibly is something I’m genuinely practiced at. Your pet (and your home) are in steady hands.

I’ll stick to whatever routine you’ve set and send regular updates and photos so you can actually enjoy your trip without a worry. And expect plenty of adorable photos — documenting your pet at their most photogenic is something I take very seriously :)
