Hi, I'm Derek, and dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, and today I share my home with Truffle, my Bernedoodle. Living with a dog every day has taught me how much they thrive on routine, exercise, and affection, and how much their owners need to know they're in good hands. I've dog-sat for friends and family for years and helped train their dogs along the way. That experience taught me to read different personalities, from shy and anxious to bouncy and boundary-testing, and to stay patient and consistent so every dog feels safe with me. What I offer (in The Hague) 15-minute walks: A quick outing for a toilet break, a stretch of the legs, and a bit of fresh air. Ideal for puppies, seniors, or a midday break while you're at work. 1-hour walks: A proper adventure with exercise, sniffing, and play, adjusted to your dog's age, energy, and pace. Medication: I'm comfortable giving medication, including pills and other treatments, exactly as you instruct. Pet sitting: [overnight stays or multi-day stays] so your dog keeps their routine, bed, and surroundings while you're away. Who I care for: All dogs. Any size, breed, age, or temperament, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors and dogs with health needs. Availability: Most weekdays and some weekends. Reach out early for weekend bookings, as spots fill up. Good to know: I follow your instructions, treat your home with respect, and send photo and message updates so you can relax while you're away.
