Hi there,

My name is Rebecca, a 23 year old student from the US. I have just finished my masters in Financial Economics at Erasmus University. With summer break from uni, I have lots of free time and would love to spend my summer days bringing dogs around this city and exploring, or getting to have a snuggle with a cat!

I currently work for an e-mobility service provider doing invoicing, and I have to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On the weekend, I am a DJ, so I am often heading to Amsterdam to do that once or twice a month. If you like techno/house we will have lots to talk about! Or if you work in accounts receivables but I think that is less fun (lol). 

I love hiking and physical activities, I think having a dog with me would be super fun for these adventures! There are a couple of routes I want to try in Dordrecht and The Hague, so if you want to tire out your pup I would love to take one for a day trip once you are comfortable with that. If your dog can swim, I would also love to take them to dog friendly beaches! 

Back home, my family has a German Shepard named Butler, and I miss him dearly. We rescued him when he was 6 from a shelter, and with that came some behavioural issues, so I am used to dealing with anxious and barking pups. When I was a kid I grew up with a black lab, so I have a soft spot for big dogs. I was also a camp counselor during uni in the summers, and would take the golden retriever around with us on hikes, so I am used to controlling a dog in stimulating environments as well. 

I love animals. I would like to host but currently I live in an apartment with no living room so I don't feel like it is enough space for an animal. 

I am more than happy before any home/petsitting to have a quick meet-up where we can see how me and your animal get along beforehand to make sure everything goes well, either in a park or at your home. I think its best when the animal and the sitter get along and are both excited about it!

We can individually discuss pricing and conditions based on each situation. I think every pet is unique with different needs and this is not a commodity. It is important to put special attention into making sure the pet and human are both safe and comfortable, and that there is reasonable compensation for what the animal needs. 

I think it is also best to first take your dog for a walk, and build a bit of trust before home-stays so I am not like intruding on their space as a stranger.
