Howdy! My name is Em, and cats are my whole world. For my entire adult life I've worked with cats in almost every area -- grooming, raising, fostering and rescuing, medical care, and even showing with The International Cat Association. I only sit for cats, so your feline friend gets someone who understands them inside and out.

The cats other sitters hesitate over are the ones I love working with the most:

🐾 Shy, fearful or stressed cats. I have years of experience reading feline body language, and let them come to me at their own pace.

🐾 Cats with medical needs. Oral medication, injections such as insulin or subcutaneous fluids, prescription and special diets measured precisely, and close monitoring of appetite, litter habits and behaviour.

🐾 Seniors and cats recovering from illness. I've nursed cats through ailments such as cancer, diabetes, and surgical recovery, so I know how much the small details matter.

🐾 Multi-cat households. After years of living with a rotating cast of 6 or more cats, I'm comfortable with group dynamics and the occasional disagreement.

🐾 Young kittens and newborn litters. I've raised many litters from birth. I'm comfortable with the day-to-date of caring for babies, whether they're with mom or separated. For older kittens, I bring plenty of energy, patience and gentle socialisation, so they grow up confident with people.

Every visit includes: fresh food and water exactly as instructed, a scooped litter box, and play and enrichment to whatever extent your baby is up for it. I also do a quick daily check of eyes, coat, appetite and litter output. After each visit you'll get photos or a video plus a short note on how they ate, used the litter box, and behaved. Those are the things that tell you how your cat is really doing!

Hygiene matters to me. Because I live with cats myself, I keep strict hygiene between households: clean hands and clothes, and nothing shared between homes.

Before your booking, we'll have a free meet-and-greet so your cat can get to know me. We'll go through their routine, medication and diet, your vet's details and an emergency plan, and I'll collect your key then. It helps to keep food, medication and litter supplies together in one spot.

I live in Rotterdam but visit the surrounding area, including Den Haag. My Dutch is still quite limited, so English is appreciated. Looking forward to meeting your kitty! 😺
