I’m a lifelong pet person with a soft spot for cats - especially the shy ones that make you work really hard for their love.
When I moved to the Netherlands, I started catsitting and dogwalking mainly as a way of doing something familiar while getting to know my new environment and meeting new people. I ended up really enjoying it, so I continue doing so alongside my part time job.
I come from Slovenia and I grew up around cats and dogs and have also volunteered in a cat shelter. When I moved, I brought my dog with me, but left behind 6 cats, who now live with my parents. I miss them dearly and would love to help care for other cats in the meanwhile!
For cat drop-ins, I focus on keeping things calm and consistent: food, water, litter, playtime if they’re into it, and sitting with them in as close proximity as they allow for if they’re not. I’m genuinely happy to let your cat ignore me in peace. I'm also very wary of the escape artists, I always open the front door by gently putting my foot through it first, in case there's someone waiting to sneak off on an adventure.
For dog walks, I’m attentive and safety-minded, adapting routes to your dog’s energy and any triggers they might have. I want to make sure they get enough exercise and fresh air, while also keeping the enjoyable and stress-free for both of us. I pay close attention to the environment (traffic, other dogs), so you can relax, knowing I'm keeping them safe.
Ultimately, your pet's safety and wellbeing in your absence is my main priority. I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to send you regular updates and photos of your pet. If your pet has any fears, quirks, strong opinions, or very specific routines, I’d love to know.
I'm looking forward to caring for your pets as if they were my own!
