Hi! I’m Ieva (pronounced ih-ae-v-ah) an experienced and caring pet sitter with a special background in boarding and training guide dogs for the blind (in the UK). This gave me valuable skills in structure, patience, and understanding how to support each dog’s unique personality and needs.

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, growing up surrounded by both dogs and cats. As a teenager, I had a Labrador who was by my side well into my twenties. Ever since then, I’ve felt a big void, and I fill that by caring for other people’s beloved pets.

For me, pets are family. I follow your routines and preferences—whether your dog sleeps at the end of the bed, under the covers, or anywhere in between. Every pet in my care is treated with love, respect, and plenty of affection. 

Pawshake isn’t just a job for me, it’s companionship, connection, and the happiness of meeting so many wonderful personalities and breeds.

Terriers, Labradors, Retrievers, Staffordshires, Pugs, Beagles, Chow Chows, Chihuahuas, Bulldogs, Maltese, Border Collie mixes, Bernadoodles, and many lovely mixed-breeds. Every dog teaches me something new.

I’m experienced with a wide range of behaviours, but transparency is essential so I can understand if we’re the right match and provide the best possible care. This keeps both your dog and me safe and comfortable.
