I am a zoologist with a specialization in animal communication. I own a chronically anxious rescued dog Gizmo, who I train with positive reinforcement methods only (he knows about 40 commands by now, I am so proud of my boi). I have lived with cats most of my life, and also took care of wild animals in nature reserves and rehabilitation facilities (cranes in Oka State Nature Reserve in Russua and seals in Sealcenter Pieterburen). As a hobby, I befriend local crows. All in all, I treat animals with respect and take my time to hear them out and to understand their personality and needs. Similarly, I will hear you out and faithfully adhere to your wishes and routines.
I speak English and Russian, and am learning Dutch. Since I have my own dog, my non-negotiables are vaccinations and anti-parasite control from your side.
Daytime cat visits last for up to 1.5 h and include spending quality time with the cat(s) if they want it, feeding, changing water and quick cleaning of the litter box. If the care requires administering medications (oral or subdermal), it can be done.
Dog walks include up to 1h walk on leash (depending on the weather) and can take place from 12:00 to 19:00. If you would like that, the walks may include positive reinforcement training (recall, walking on leash without pulling, attention and impulse control, some basic tricks, etc).
Overnight pet sitting includes me spending time at your place for up to 24h, feeding, changing water, walking, light cleaning of the litterbox/cage (major cleaning is negotiable). For extra charge, I can also clean your place if you provide the supplies.
For exotic animals: I am not fully comfortable with feeding reptiles with living food, the rest is negotiable. Also, I am allergic to mice, so prior agreeing of taking care if your rodents, I will have to check whether I have a severe reaction to your particular pet.
