I've been petsitting and a pet owner for over 20 years. I was a professional petsitter in the USA and have also petsat in Europe since 2015. Now I am based in the Hague/Leidschendam and want to pet sit for you :) Please note that I specialize in cats and small animals (birds, ferrets, hamsters, etc.) and cannot offer dog services at the moment. 💖

Each visit includes:

• Feeding, watering, and snacks
• Cleaning pet areas / supplies
• Playtime
• Video and photo updates
• Plant Care
• Medicine (if needed)

Details:

I offer everything that makes your pet comfortable. Of course the basics like feeding, giving medicine, changing water, scooping litter, etc. I know that cats and other animals have a ton of different personalities. If your pet wants, I can cuddle or play with him/her. If they like to be left alone, that is also possible. For example, your cat and I can slow blink at each other to build friendship 🥰 I understand cat behavior well and even volunteer for a cat and dog rescue organization (from which I adopted a cat).

In terms of personal cat care experience, I've had pets since I was 5 years old. I am also a pet owner. My cats are 12 years old (she is a tripod!) and a 5 year old rescue. Additionally, I have a bird and can petsit for them, too. I have been petsitting since I was a child and have owned/taken care of many animals (cats, dogs, birds, rodents, fish), so I understand animal behavior and habits, both good and naughty. My experience includes befriending sassy cats and making shy cats more comfortable by giving them the time they need to get used to a person and know they are safe around me. Actually, one of my current cats didn't let anyone in the shelter touch her for 3 years and I was able to pet her within 1.5 months of adoption 🥹

I love giving pets the space they need in order to be more comfortable with people. My bird, for example, hated hands when she started living with me, but now she gets on my hand and lets me pet her. She also used to hate vegetables and now eats them all the time 🥬
