I'm Catarina, 37 years old, and I’ve been living in the Netherlands for almost 5 years. I come from (sunny) Portugal! ☀️

I previously owned 4 (mountain) dogs (Serra da Estrela dogs, from Portugal - I'm sure you'll be able to identify them in my gallery!) for over 10 years, and over the past few years I’ve also been pet sitting for friends - mostly dogs at first, as I’ve always been a dog person, but I eventually had to give in to cats as well - in Portugal, Netherlands and even in Spain. 

I live in Haarlem, and I’m available for pet sitting locally as well as in Amsterdam and surrounding areas. I’m happy to travel for house sitting bookings of 1+ nights, and I naturally end up doing longer stays, which works great for everyone involved. I work from home most of the time, but I occasionally need to go into the office in Amsterdam.

I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs. As for cats, it’s been mostly the same (although they’re usually over 1 year old). But honestly, who can resist a kitty?

I’m always happy to take care of them and make them feel as comfy as possible, as I know how hard it can be for them when their humans are away!

I’ll always walk dogs on a lead, especially at first, as they’re not yet used to me. Unless they’re fully trained, I prefer to stay on the safe side while still letting them enjoy the company of other dogs, if that’s something they like and that makes them happy. A wagging tail goes a long way.

Long walks, shorter strolls, or simply some fresh air and (couch) company - count me in!
