Hi! I’m Laura, based in Haarlem Oost. I work remotely and offer daytime and overnight pet sitting in Haarlem and nearby areas, including Heemstede, Aerdenhout, Overveen, Bloemendaal and Santpoort-Zuid. I’m caring, responsible and active, and I genuinely love having animals around me. 

I grew up with my schnauzer Saku, who was with us for 15 years, so I know how much a pet can become part of the family. I still miss having that companionship, and pet sitting feels like a lovely way to have pets around again while also helping someone else.

I’m comfortable sitting dogs, cats, bunnies and other pets. I can feed them, refresh their water, play with them and follow their usual routine. Since I work remotely, I can often keep them company throughout the day.

I love walking and playing with dogs, and giving them plenty of attention. Walks are at least 30 minutes, on-leash, and I adapt them to your dog’s routine. I’ll always ask where your dog normally likes to walk and keep their familiar routes in the routine. If you’re open to something new, I’m also happy to suggest some of my favorite walking spots around Haarlem.

I usually send photos, videos and little updates while you’re away, so you know what we have been up to.

A summary of my services

• Dog walking: 30 minutes walk, and adapted to your dog’s routine, age and energy level.
• 1x home visit: Around one hour at your home for company, feeding, playtime and a walk if appropriate.
• 2x home visit: Two separate visits at your home on the same day. Each visit is around one hour and includes the same care as the 1xhome visit: company, feeding, playtime and a walk if appropriate.
• House sitting: I stay overnight at your home and care for your pet(s) there.
• Day care at your home: Half-day or full-day care (to be agreed). Pawshake doesn’t list this as a service, so please message me to discuss. The rate will be similar to my “2x home visit” rate.

Before the first booking, I’d like to meet you and your pet, hear about their routine and little habits, and make sure we’re all comfortable with each other.

Please note, additional pets will be added as an extra fee of €5 per pet, per day, per service. This is usually added to the total during the 'contract phase'.
