About Levi
Hi! My name is Levi, I’m 26 years old and I moved to Groningen in September to start a Master’s in Journalism at the university.
I grew up around dogs and have always loved having them around. Back home in Amsterdam, my family has a small dog named Billy, whom I regularly look after. My grandparents had Welsh Terriers and my parents have had two dachshunds, so I’m especially familiar and comfortable with small to medium-sized dogs.
During a semester in Utrecht, one of my roommates regularly looked after a small dog named Robin. I often helped out, took him for walks and kept him company when my roommate was away. My mom regularly uses Pawshake herself when she needs someone to take care of Billy, so when she suggested I could become a sitter in Groningen, it felt like a very natural fit.
As a full-time Master’s student, I spend quite a lot of time studying from home. That gives me the flexibility to be around during the day and make sure your dog gets plenty of attention, regular walks and the care they are used to.
I know from my own family dog how important it is to find someone you feel comfortable leaving your dog with. I also know that every dog is different. Some love lots of attention and long walks, while others are happiest following their familiar routine and having a quiet place to relax. Before looking after your dog, I’d therefore like to hear all about them: their personality, walking and feeding routine, what they enjoy, what they don’t like and anything else that helps them feel comfortable.
I live in a spacious house on the Kraneweg with my housemate Joost (32), who works full-time as an audio technician at Forum Groningen and TUMULT. He’s very comfortable having dogs in the house and is often at work during the day. We have a comfortable living room and a large garden, so there is plenty of space to relax, play or spend some time outside.
I’m available most weekends and all day on Mondays, as well as Wednesday and Friday afternoons and evenings. On Thursdays, I’m usually available from the morning until early afternoon, before my lecture starts at 15:00.
I’m also happy to look after dogs overnight, either for a single night or occasionally for a longer stay, depending on my study schedule. For longer stays, I’d always want to make sure beforehand that the arrangement works well for both your dog and you.
I have most experience with small to medium-sized dogs, so they would generally be the best fit for me. I’d also be very happy to meet beforehand, so your dog can get to know me and you can see where they would be staying.
If you’re looking for a caring and reliable sitter in Groningen who will take your dog’s individual needs and routines seriously, feel free to send me a message. I’d love to hear a little about your dog and what you’re looking for in a sitter! :)
