Hello! We are Lucía (40, from Spain) and Turhan (42), a couple offering a safe, calm, and caring home for your dog while you are away on holiday or for any other reason.

Animals have always been a very important part of my life. Since childhood, I have loved being around them and taking care of them. I grew up watching animal films, reading books about animals, and even most of my toys were animals. As long as I can remember, I have felt a very special connection with them.

For 13 wonderful years, I shared my life with my Border Collie, who was much more than a pet. He was my best friend and a true member of my family. Caring for him was one of the most important parts of my life. Living with him for so many years gave me extensive experience in understanding dogs, their behaviour, and their needs. Losing him in 2018 was incredibly difficult, and it still is.

I also spent two years volunteering at an animal shelter, and over the years I have looked after different animals on several occasions. Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, birds, chickens, horses...

I've always found it easy to understand dogs or animals in general, and communicate with them. Training my own dog came naturally to me, and over the years I've learned a lot simply by spending time with them, reading about them and observing their behaviour. Ever since I was a child, I have always been deeply interested in animals. I used to watch animal movies, read books about them, and all of my toys were animals. As long as I can remember, I have always felt a very special connection with them.

Your dog will receive plenty of attention, regular walks and lots of affection while staying with us. We live next to a large park and green areas, so we can easily provide three or four walks a day, depending on your dog's usual routine and energy level.

We both work, but our schedules often allow one of us to be at home. I work rotating morning, afternoon, and night shifts, while Turhan works regular morning shifts. On the days when our morning shifts overlap, your dog would be alone from 5:30 a.m. until around 2:30 p.m. We would take the dog out early before work and again as soon as we get home. During the other weeks, the dog would always be with at least one of us, except for about three hours between the time I leave for work and Turhan returns home. Weekends always free.

We have a car for any emergency, problems or if you need us to go to the vet. We will follow your decisions if anything happens. 

As we moved into our home quite recently and all of our furniture is new, we would prefer to look after dogs that are already used to living indoors and do not chew furniture or have accidents inside the house. This is simply because we want to keep our home in good condition, rather than because we expect dogs to be perfectly trained. For the same reason, we generally prefer adult dogs over puppies that are still learning.

We understand that trusting someone else with your dog is a big decision. If your dog stays with us, we will care for him responsibly, make sure he get plenty of exercise and attention, and do everything we can to make him feel safe and comfortable while you're away.
