I have loved animals ever since I was a little kid. It all started when I was five years old and found a black kitten in my aunt's backyard. The kitten was stuck in a tree, and I thought it was so adorable that I wanted to take it home with me. I hide the kitten under my blouse to sneak it past my mom, but it started meowing in the car, and my mom found out. Thankfully, she let me keep the kitten, and that's how my love for animals began.

Growing up in Aruba, I lived with four dogs and two cats, who made my home full of life and joy. Fortunately, my brother back home has five dogs, and I get to take care of them whenever he goes on vacation. I love spending time with them and giving them lots of attention.

While living in Aruba, I also volunteered every Saturday at SGT Pepper, a local animal shelter. I helped feed the animals, clean their cages, and give them love. This experience taught me how important it is to care for animals and how much they enrich our lives. Now that I have moved to the Netherlands for school, I couldn't bring my pets with me because my apartment doesn't allow animals. I really miss having them around.

Even though I can't have pets with me now, my passion for caring for animals is still strong. I'am committed to creating a loving environment for them wherever I can, whether it's through volunteering, helping out family, or spending time with any pets I meet. Animals will always hold a special place in my heart.
