Hello! My name is Cansu, and I’m a 26-year-old PhD candidate at TUD. I’ve been living in Delft for the past three years, and as someone coming from Istanbul, where hundreds of cats freely roam the streets every day, looking to be pet, I’ve deeply missed the touch of an animal.

Back home, I had my own cat—a playful (and slightly crazy) one—and I cared for him from the kitten stage onward. While I’ve always been around cats, looking after him taught me so much about how to be an approachable and comforting presence, especially in challenging situations. Since I haven’t yet settled in one place, I can’t have my own cat at the moment. That’s why I see this opportunity not only as a wonderful way to bond with an animal, but also as something that brings me a lot of peace, joy, and love. 

I will gladly take care of every need your cat may have and will pay close attention to any instructions you share. You can also count on me to keep them active! I’m usually the one running around the house with the most random string-like object, getting cats excited every time. I’m proud to say that my sister’s cat goes straight to his favorite toy whenever he sees me enter the room. 😊
