Hoi, ik ben Karo. Ik bied hondenuitlaatservice, dagopvang en logeren aan in Lent/Nijmegen-Noord. Ik weet dat iedere hond anders is en dat het best spannend kan zijn om je hond aan iemand anders toe te vertrouwen. Daarom vind ik duidelijke afspraken, rust en persoonlijke aandacht belangrijk.

Ik neem in principe maar één hond tegelijk aan, zodat ik mijn volledige aandacht kan geven en goed kan letten op wat jouw hond nodig heeft. Meerdere honden uit hetzelfde huishouden zijn eventueel mogelijk, maar alleen in overleg.

Wandelen
Voor honden uitlaten haal ik je hond bij jou thuis op en maak ik een wandeling volgens de Pawshake-afspraak. Ik wandel met één hond tegelijk en houd honden buiten altijd aan de lijn, tenzij we vooraf heel duidelijk iets anders hebben afgesproken.

Ik stem de wandeling graag af op wat jouw hond nodig heeft. Sommige honden willen lekker doorlopen, andere honden snuffelen liever rustig of hebben wat meer afstand nodig van drukte en andere honden. Ik hoor daarom graag vooraf wat je hond gewend is, hoe hij of zij aan de lijn loopt, en of er dingen zijn waar ik rekening mee moet houden.

Dagopvang en logeren bij mij thuis
Voor dagopvang of logeren verblijft je hond bij ons thuis in een rustige, kleinschalige omgeving. We hebben een volledig afgesloten tuin waar je hond onder toezicht buiten kan zijn, kan snuffelen of rustig kan liggen.

Tijdens een verblijf probeer ik het normale ritme van je hond zo veel mogelijk aan te houden: wandelen, eten volgens jouw instructies, rustmomenten, spelen en knuffelen als je hond dat fijn vindt. Voor langere verblijven, bijvoorbeeld tijdens vakantie, vind ik het belangrijk om ruim van tevoren kennis te maken. Dan kunnen we rustig bespreken wat jouw hond nodig heeft en of het goed voelt voor jou, je hond en mij.

In de buurt zijn fijne wandelmogelijkheden. We hebben ook contact met buren die honden hebben. Als jouw hond sociaal is en jij dat prettig vindt, kunnen we eventueel kijken of een rustig speelmoment met een bekende hond uit de buurt passend is. Dit doe ik alleen in overleg en nooit zomaar.

Ik heb een auto, dus ophalen of brengen kan eventueel in overleg als dat praktisch uitkomt. Vooral in Lent/Waalsprong en omgeving, zoals Griftdijk Noord, Lentelijn, Thermion en station Nijmegen-Lent, is dit goed haalbaar.

Tijdens het oppassen stuur ik graag berichtjes en foto’s, zodat je weet hoe het gaat. Ik maak graag eerst kennis om te kijken of het een goede match is.

Hi, I am Karo. I offer dog walking, doggy day care and dog boarding in Lent/Nijmegen-Noord. I know that every dog is different, and that it can feel difficult to leave your dog with someone else. That is why clear communication, calm care and personal attention are important to me.

I normally take care of one dog at a time, so I can give your dog my full attention and properly respond to what they need. Multiple dogs from the same household may be possible, but only after discussing it first.

Dog walking
For dog walks, I pick up your dog from your home and walk them according to the Pawshake booking. I walk one dog at a time and always keep dogs on the lead outside, unless we have very clearly agreed otherwise beforehand.

I adapt the walk to your dog’s needs. Some dogs enjoy a steady walk, while others prefer to sniff calmly or need more distance from busy places and other dogs. I therefore like to know in advance what your dog is used to, how they walk on the lead, and whether there is anything I should take into account.

Day care and (long-term) boarding at my home
For day care or boarding, your dog stays with us at home in a calm and small-scale setting. We have a fully fenced garden where your dog can spend time outside under supervision, sniff around or relax.

During a stay, I try to follow your dog’s usual rhythm as much as possible: walks, feeding according to your instructions, rest moments, playtime and cuddles if your dog enjoys that. For longer stays, for example during holidays, I prefer to meet well in advance. That way we can calmly discuss what your dog needs and whether it feels right for you, your dog and me.

There are nice walking areas nearby. We are also in contact with neighbours who have dogs. If your dog is social and you are comfortable with it, we can discuss whether a calm play moment with a familiar dog from the neighbourhood could be suitable. I only do this after discussing it with you and never without agreement.

I have a car, so pick-up or drop-off may be possible if it is practical. This is especially easy in Lent/Waalsprong and nearby areas such as Griftdijk Noord, Lentelijn, Thermion and Nijmegen-Lent station.

During the booking, I am happy to send messages and photos so you know how your dog is doing. I like to meet first to see whether it is a good match.
