I used to be scared of animals as a kid, anything unfamiliar made me nervous. But that completely changed when my parents brought home puppies (also big puppies like German Shepherds). From that moment on, something opened in me. Growing up with dogs taught me responsibility, understanding, and how healing their presence can be. Later, when I started having cats at home from adopted strays to special breeds like Sphynx. I learned even more about patience (I have few cats with attitude so...), trust, and the unique personalities every animal has.

Now that I live in Amsterdam, I don’t have my own pets with me, but somehow I always end up befriending the neighbor’s cats. They wander into my home, sit with me, and it reminds me how much warmth animals bring into daily life. I truly miss that connection.
