Hello!,

My name is Joana. Ever since I can remember, I have been a passionate animal enthusiast. I grew up with pets, from birds, to fish, to dogs, cats. Ever since I moved to the Netherlands over 2 years ago (I am originally from Portugal), my housing situation does not allow for pets and I deeply miss being around animals. I figured pet-sitting could be an amazing way to fill this gap and also help others in the process! 

In my family, we mostly adopted animals from shelters, which provided me with a lot of first-hand experience on how to tune in and bond with a pet. I have delt with animals who were young, senior, with strict medication routines, shy, reactive, active, quiet,… This taught me many things, but mainly to be patient and listen attentively, slowly learning each pet’s body language, listening and adjusting to their habits and rhythms. This process of getting to know a pet truly brings me so much joy, which is why I believe I make a very good pet-sitter.

I have pet-sitted my whole life, for family, friends, friends of friends, yet never ‘officially’ through an app. It would be a privilege for me to get to know your pet/s and help you in any way I can!
