Hi! I’m Marta, an animal lover based in Arnhem, offering dog walks, drop-in visits and house sitting for dogs and cats.

I grew up with dogs and regularly looked after our family dogs when my parents travelled. This included feeding, short and long walks, keeping them company and giving medication when needed. I’m attentive to instructions and understand how much the little details matter when caring for someone’s pet.

I also have experience caring for cats and rabbits, own a rescue horse called Danny, and previously volunteered at a horse rescue in Malta. Caring for animals of different sizes and personalities has taught me patience, responsibility and respect for each animal’s boundaries.

Here’s how I can help:

• Dog walks: usually 30–60 minutes, adapted to your dog’s age, energy and needs, with plenty of time to sniff and explore. I mainly walk small and medium-sized dogs.

• Drop-in visits: 1–2 hours, depending on your pet’s needs and what we agree beforehand. I’ll check food and fresh water, provide garden access or toilet breaks where needed, clean litter trays, and spend time playing or keeping your pet company. I’m also happy to water plants and bring in the mail.

• House sitting: I can stay overnight and spend most of the day in your home, following your pet’s familiar routine. I may need to go out for up to 2–3 hours at a time; we’ll discuss this beforehand to make sure it suits your pet. I have experience working for a cleaning company, so I’ll keep your home tidy and can help with light cleaning by prior agreement.

• Medication: I can give medication where I’m comfortable with the task, following your clear instructions.

On the days I’m available, I can arrange morning, afternoon or evening care. We’ll agree on timings before booking. I cannot host pets in my own home, but I’m happy to care for them in theirs.

I have a car, so with your agreement, walks can also include trips to green spaces or a dog-friendly beach. I enjoy practising familiar commands and simple tricks through rewards and play, and I’m equally happy sitting quietly with a cat who prefers gentle company.

I’ll treat your home with care, keep your keys secure, check doors and windows are locked before leaving, and follow your instructions for alarms and other security measures.

You can expect photos, regular updates and someone who takes your pet’s care seriously. Whether they love cuddles or need time to build trust, I’ll let them set the pace. I’d love to meet you and your pet before the first booking!
