I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs, handling pick-ups and drop-offs, and doing house calls to check in on dogs or help socialise puppies. At the facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. Over the years, I expanded into overnight sitting for dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs.

After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I offered my own independent services and worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, gaining great experience with common and less common Dutch breeds. A few years later, I am now living in Amsterdam, working with dogs full-time, and finishing up my Master's thesis. On my days off, I work entirely from home, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care.

My Home & Location

I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations with easy street access for drop-offs. We are a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by for daily walks.

Our apartment has plenty of comfy space and two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️). All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have a quiet and safe space to rest. Unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... 

Because of my professional background managing packs, safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities!

A Typical Day With Me

Every day is tailored to the specific dogs staying with me, balancing high-energy outdoor exploration with structured downtime.

• On Farm Days: If I am looking after your dog on a working day, I like to bring them with me to the fantastic, secure, rural farmland daycare facility outside of Amsterdam. All transport is done in a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). Here, they can socialise safely with the pack, run in large open spaces, and practice their pack skills. If preferred, your dog can remain in a secure outside area separate from the other dogs for some peace and quiet.
• On Days Off: We stick closer to home. I never leave the house without my frisbee and a pocket full of dog treats! A typical day includes morning and evening walks exploring the local parks, or nipping to the supermarket to get groceries together. We might meet a human friend or two of mine along the way—my friends always love to meet and play with the dogs I'm looking after.

Every dog is unique in how they like to play and rest, so I always match their energy well. Whether it’s chasing a toy, a training session, or a long, sniffing stroll, my goal is a happy, fulfilled dog. To this day, I am yet to meet a dog that I couldn't tire out!

Once we are back at the apartment, dogs can wind down in their own room, bask in some sun on the balcony, or curl up on the sofa with us for the evening.
