Hi, we’re Sofia and Derk!

I’m Sofia, 30 years old, originally from Italy, and I’ve been living in Amsterdam for six years. Derk is Dutch, and together we share a lifelong love for animals. :)

We both grew up with a mix of dogs and cats—my family in Italy has 2 dogs, two Golden Retriever, one named Max, and a cute puppy Toby - and three cats: Blu, Ugo, and Sunny. Derk grew up with a Schnauzer named Sasha. At home in Amsterdam, we have our lovely cat Sugo, who gets along well with dogs (and sometimes with other cats too!). ;)

We often take care of our friend’s dog Nova, a high-energy Border Collie who stays with us for weeks when her owners are away. We love going on long walks and runs with her, and she absolutely loves playing and showing off her tricks.

Whenever we can, we also support other friends and family with their pets. Through these experiences, we’ve learned to adapt to different breeds and personalities—from playful dogs like Nova to gentle companions like Max.

While we don’t have the time for a dog of our own at the moment, we’d love to spend more time outdoors, playing and caring for your pets!
