Hi, I’m Melanie, 29, based in Amsterdam.

I grew up around animals and had a dog, a cat, rabbits, a hamster, guinea pigs, fish, and desert mice myself, so being around pets has always felt very natural to me. At the moment, I don’t have any animals of my own, which is honestly part of the reason I wanted to start pet sitting. I miss having animals around and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that’s going for walks, playing, or just keeping them company.

I wouldn’t call myself a professional trainer or grooming expert, but I am responsible, attentive, and comfortable with the everyday parts of pet care like feeding, walks, routines, playtime, and making sure pets feel comfortable and safe. I also regularly walk and help care for my boyfriend’s and friends’ dogs.

I’m happy to care for cats, dogs, and smaller pets, and I know every animal has a different personality and routine. I try to adapt to that as much as possible and follow owners’ instructions carefully.

At the moment, I’m mainly focused on dog walking, home visits, and daytime pet sitting. I only accept vaccinated pets.
