About Merolyn
Hello, my name is Merolyn, my husband and I arrived in Amsterdam in December 2018 where we've been living since then. It's really unfortunate, but our pet couldn't come with us, and we haven't taken one since.
I have an undergraduate degree in psychology, but always dedicated myself in my free time to my pets and also animal protection in Brazil. Having rescued several cats and dogs from the street, providing them food and health care, ending up adopting 5 or them and finding home for several others.
I couldn't bring my dogs to Holland because at the time we're living in my parent's house, and they love my dogs as my dogs love them too. It would not be fair to separate them from my family and their habitat, plus the idea of putting my puppies in the stress or a flight frightens me. But I always miss them and always visit them every 6 months ... as they are my beloved kids!
Working as a pet sitter here in Amsterdam is being an accomplishment for me. I've been taking care of animals by appointment since when I arrived here and I consider this function much more than just a job: It's a leisure. Rest assured that your pet will be loved and spoiled by me, and if your baby stay in my house and you give me your permission she / he can sleep in our bed with us!
All my care, affection and attention are included in the accommodation. Your dog will walk two to three times a day if it doesn't rain. When the weather is rainy, we usually take a short walk or up to 15 minutes. And don't worry if you are missing your loved one, we all do, in order to keep your heart calm, I usually send 2 or 3 videos a day. If your pet use to sleep with you, in your bed, she / he might sleep with us, as we love their warmth. And don't worry if your friend needs to take pills (medications or supplements), as I'm experienced in delivering those. Food, toilet mat, toys, bed are all to your responsibility. If you want me to buy something, just let me know, and those costs will be charged separately.
Every time I have your little friend back home, I try to stay all the time with her / him, not leaving for more than 1 hour straight. And if something happens that requires more time than that, I'll arrange with you and make sure you are aware and ok with that.
My house is about 60 square meters. It has kitchen integrated to the living room, bathroom, toilet, bedroom, guest bedroom and balcony, unfortunately I can't provide an open area for your pet, but I do not have to worry about much more healthy outdoor experiences taking her / him to one of the nearby parks.
