I am Finn, a 27 year old German Master's student and freelance writer based in Amsterdam.

I have been living in Amsterdam for 5 years, petless, as my current life situation would sadly not be very suitable for being a full-time pet owner myself, but I grew up with pets at home my whole life and would love to be able to spend time with your pet in the form of pet sitting and/or dog walking!

One of our cats, Schnudel – a little grandma of 20 years – lives with my family in Germany, and I am happy to get to spend time with her every time I visit! We have always had cats, and we also took care of a foster dog before he got permanently adopted some years ago. Another cat baby that sadly passed away some years ago that we had adopted next to Schnudel, was very much "special care" dependent, as she was very overweight when we adopted her, so she was not able to groom herself and needed extra care in that department, including gentle washing (which she actually was weirdly content with), regular brushing, and nail clipping. I have given medicine to our pets when they were sick on many occasions as well.

I have always been animal-obsessed ever since I can remember, and being around pets has always given me a lot of joy. I would also describe myself as someone who is in tune with what cats or dogs express and their needs, and would, for example, never just assume I can pet an unknown dog without checking in with the owner first or letting the dog show me that he wants to be approached first. Besides cats and dogs, I am very much open to taking care of all kinds of other pets.

As I am currently finishing writing my Master's thesis, I am quite flexible with scheduling.
