hi there, my name is Anja - a Croatian in Amsterdam. I'm 32 years old and working in political and communication consulting, having studied and worked in Croatia, the UK, Italy, Germany and Belgium. I see pet sitting as a relaxing side job that gives me a break from my daily corporate job and allows me to spend time with animals of all types.

I have experience with animals ranging from hamsters and guinea pigs, cats and dogs to horses. I've been regularly pet sitting for friends, colleagues and neighbours for the last three years, on and off Pawshake. I also volunteered with Stichting Dierenbemiddeling Europa as a foster parent for dogs that come to the Netherlands, keeping them safe, happy and active while they find their forever home.

I currently live in a 50 square metre flat on the second floor that is full of sunlight and has a small balcony for your pet to get some fresh air. as I live near Westerpark, your dogs will have great green areas to explore!

I often get asked why don't I have a pet. I regularly travel for work which means I can't care for a pet every day, but am hoping to get some animal friends nonetheless! this is why I would love to get the opportunity to take care of your pets by taking them for walks or hosting them if you are away. things I can help you with are:
- taking dogs for 45min-1 hour walk almost anytime in the day
- hosting cats, dogs or any other animals at our home overnight
- providing day care for your cats, dogs or any other animals with dedicated play and activity time.
