Hello, my name is Sonja. I live in Amsterdam Oud-West with my family. I speak Dutch, but of course English is no problem. I can't imagine not having pets around me, all my life I have lived with guinea pigs and cats. Our cat Koosje is turning 20 this year.

During the week I work part-time managing the administrative side of a company, this gives me some flexibility. At the weekends I work as a volunteer at an Amsterdam cat shelter, so I am very experienced with all kinds of cats: the angry ones, the scared or aggressive ones, the shy ones : ), and of ofcourse the ones who immediately jump on your shoulder. I clean a kennel weekly, surrounded by about 20-30 cats ; that means a lot of litter boxes, food bowls and water refreshments.

I have a certificate of 'honden- en kattenbesluit'. I worked for some years as a veterinary assistant, where I, for instance, cleaned the teeth of many cats and assisted the vet at the treatment table. I also worked at 'DOA - Dieren Opvang Amsterdam ', the animal shelter for cats and dogs in Amsterdam.

In my free time I love to see live music as much as I can. I read a lot of books and like to go see a movie. I enjoy having the Vondelpark really near to my place and I spend a lot of time with my family.

As your cat sitter, I take care of your cat as if it were my own. 

I offer 30-minute visits where I will feed and refresh water. I take care of the litter box, have a nice conversation and some quality time. If your cat needs medicine, let me know. Available time daily between 15.00-20.00 and I would prefer to cycle within 10-15 minutes from zipcode 1054. 

Ofcourse I can provide you with photos or videos during your absence, and before you go, I'd like to stop by for a short meeting to discuss some practical issues like keys and, if necessary, maybe specific information I need to know about your cat.
