Hi! My name is Ashlesha, I'm 30 years old and love being around animals. Growing up, we had a big German shepherd (his name was Simba) who I loved more than anything in the world! Since he passed away in 2020, I've been trying to spend time with pets of my friends and family.

I have experience looking after all kinds of animals but particularly dogs and cats. I know how to look after big and small dogs, elderly dogs and young mischievous puppies. I have experience handling troublesome/anxious little dogs as well.

I live in an apartment with my boyfriend and our friends, all of whom are animal lovers. We are all from NZ or Australia, in our later 20s / early 30s and working. Each day at least one of us is working from home. My schedule with work is very flexible which means I can wfh when I want. This allows me to look after dogs and cats at the apartment which might want company all day. My apartment is an 8 minute bike from my work, so I routinely come home for lunch or finish the day from home. The apartment has stairs and there is no outdoor area. We are however a quick walk to westerpark and vondelpark.

I can also do lunchtime walks or walks after work for an hour. My preference would not be for a morning walk unless it's a wfh day. Ideally, I would be dog or cat sitting when I'm wfh myself. If for some reason I had to go into the office, it would be extremely likely that one of my house mates would be there. This would mean that your pet's time alone in the house would be limited. I can feed before and after working hours or during lunch time when needed.

I'm originally from New Zealand and moved to the Netherlands in 2024. I worked as a lawyer for almost four years and then started my LL.M in Leiden in 2024. Now I live and work as a lawyer in Amsterdam in the beautiful suburb of oud west.

I love to read, go for walks, do yoga and pottery - and of course, I love animals!
