I am currently living in Amsterdam, away from my dog in Ireland, and I am hoping to take care of/walk some dogs here as I miss my dog so much. I have had my dog from a young age, and I have over 16 years of experience with dogs. I have looked after/walked various breeds with different temperaments, and I am confident in my ability to handle most dogs. My approach to different dog breeds is calm, attentive, and structured, while always adapting to each dog's unique personality, energy level, and needs. I take time at the beginning of every stay to understand their routine, preferences, triggers, and comfort zones so they feel secure and safe with me from day 1.

Safety is very important for me, especially with dogs staying at my houses I only accept 1 dog at a time to ensure proper supervision, and reduce the risk of dogs not getting along well. Fresh water is always available, and I will follow food instructions.

As the previous owner of a 13+ year old dog, I am skilled in giving dogs medication at specific times.

I live in a secure apartment building, surrounded by the Rembrandt park and Vondel Park. I always check collars and harnesses before walks, and avoid overly crowded dog areas. If your dog has specific needs, I will follow your instructions precisely.

During daycare/boarding I make sure that dogs are never left alone, and create a relaxed environment. Living in Amsterdam Zuid means access to beautiful green spaces for walks. At home, the space is clean, secure and dog-friendly. I can always communicate with owners with regular photos and updates.

I work from home at least 3 days a week, and as I result I often go on a morning walk, a lunch time walk and an evening walk. My work from home days are always decided the week prior, so it is easy to schedule walks on specific days, or doggy day care. I am also available for drop-in visits in my area, and we would be able to have a dog in our apartment to mind during the day, and overnight.
