*last minute and super spontaneous requests always welcome!
Hey there!
Glad you found me, I‘m here to help you and your buddy out during ruff and purrplexing times!
We all know walking, sitting and staying can be tricky to teach to our furry friends; but what happens when we can’t walk, sit or stay with them? Don’t get your leash in a twist and just hit me up right here on Pawshake!
I’m Liam, a half Irish half German guy living here in Amsterdam willing to give his time, love and attention to your pet should you be away for a few hours, days or weeks! From dog walking to cat sitting and even ferret washing, give me a shout if you’re in need of a pet-tential walker/sitter/daycarer or anything else pet related!
Growing up and moving around between Ireland, the UK and Germany, having a dog at home was what made my home a home!As well as that, my grandparents’ ever-growing family of cats swayed me over from being a determined dog person to the impawssible; a dog and cat person! Not to mention a hidden admiration of cows which stems from my time on my uncle’s dairy farm, however if you have a cow for me to walk or sit here in Amsterdam I would be both amazed and honoured!
As I am currently missing my wonderful labrador Mia who now lives in the beautiful state of Washington, I‘m totally open to any and all requests for all of your pet sitting and daycare/walking needs, just give me a shout!
Liam is a fantastic companion for my little one. She loves spending time with him and rushes to him when she sees him. It puts my mind at ease knowing she’s having a great time and being well looked after. He sends updates throughout the time they’re together and always keep me up on what’s happening.
I’d highly recommend and am thrilled that I found him.
Liam communicated excellent, almost too good to be true, in the beginning. I left my dog with him almost without hesitation. But after I gave a good review, things started to get sloppy. Liam did not answer my requests (which changed a few time, I know, my bad..), he ignored my WhatsApps saying he had been busy. I even paid him extra, just because I thought he was so exclusively good. But somehow things don't feel right. I can't get my finger on it. Once I saw on the Apple Air Tag Bobbie (my dog) hadn't gone out for at least 5 hours. She's a puppy still, needs her energy to move and also pee and poo. He still owes my money, says he's intending to pay me back but so far I did not get it yet.
I notice I find it hard to say am I doubting Liam now, because all that's lacking for a fact is his non-communication and the money I did not get (yet). But yeah... that, to me, is the basis of dog sitting. TRUST. I need to trust when I leave my 'child' behind with a Dogsitter. I need to know a bit what's going on... and this just feels a bit shady.
So sorry things went this way. Too good to be true? Of just a misfortune. Either way, I am lacking trust.
