Hi, we're Sam and Tom, an Australian-Irish couple living just across the road from Westerpark. We offer dog sitting in our home or pet sitting at yours, depending on where your pet feels most comfortable. We've both grown up with animals. Sam was raised on a farm in Australia, caring for working dogs, house dogs, dingos, cats, horses, cows, sheep, birds, you name it. Tom grew up with dogs too, with experience from Shih Tzus to Golden Retrievers. We're comfortable with different sizes and energy levels, whether that's an hour-long walk or a gentler outing around the neighbourhood. Staying with us ---- Our non-smoking home is shared by just the two of us, with no resident pets. It's a classic Dutch apartment on the third storey, reached by stairs, with everything on one level once inside. We don't have a garden or usable outdoor space, but Westerpark is just across the road. Your dog can sleep in our bedroom, the spare room/office or the living room, depending on their usual routine. We'll agree sleeping arrangements and check that the stairs suit your dog before a stay. Staying at yours ---- We're equally happy to care for your dog in their own home, keeping familiar routines and looking after your space. Ideally we'd stay together, with your agreement, so we can share the care. We particularly enjoy Amsterdam West and the Jordaan, but are flexible about location. Company and care ---- Sam works from home, with any time away on home-working days usually limited to about an hour. Her office is also dog-friendly, but an office visit would only be considered if it suits your dog and you're happy with it. We'll agree the arrangements before booking. We'll discuss walks, meals and the little things that help your dog settle, and keep you updated with photos. Sam's repeat clients praise her care and reliability; one describes her as his dog's 'auntie' and says Nadia gets excited to come and stay. Send us your dates, a little about your dog, and whether you'd prefer a stay at ours or yours. We'd love to meet you both.
