Hi, I'm Penelope – a reliable and caring pet sitter based in Amsterdam 🐾

I’m a 30-year-old lawyer from New Zealand, now living in Amsterdam since March 2023. I moved here to be with my partner Max (33), a raised Amsterdammer who works in biofuels. Whenever possible, Max joins me on pet sits – meaning your furry friends get double the love, attention, and cuddles!

Pet sitting is our peaceful escape from busy corporate jobs – it brings us so much joy, and we treat every pet like our own.

🐶 Dogs

I have experience with all kinds of dogs – from shy and timid to hyper and high-energy. I love getting out for walks and playtime.
➡️ Your dog must be vaccinated, toilet trained and free of fleas and worms.

🐱 Cats

Whether your cat is super social or prefers their space, I’ll happily adapt to their personality and routine. Cuddles, feeding, play or just quiet company – all fine by me!

🐟 Fish

I grew up with a freshwater aquarium and have experience caring for fish tanks – feeding, filter checks, and general monitoring included.

🏠 House & Home

During a housesit, I’ll also:
✔️ Water your plants
✔️ Take out the rubbish
✔️ Accept courier deliveries
✔️ Keep things tidy and secure

💬 A note about my experience:

I used Pawshake regularly in New Zealand and built up a strong base of happy clients and 5-star reviews. Since I couldn’t transfer my New Zealand profile across to the Netherlands (apparently PawShake is working on this issue!), I’ve added screenshots of my NZ reviews in the photo section so you can check them out.

📍 I currently only accept bookings within Amsterdam.
